My main goal is to have a long trusted partner by 28. I always say I want to get married at 29, but that would only be if it was both financial sound for us to get married and something my partner wanted. 29-32 felt right bc my parents were 19-22 when they got married, had kids, did all that, so ten years felt like enough of a jump to not fail like them. Now I’m 21 and know that 29 is too early.

I’m so glad I’m not married. I wasn’t with the right people in my 20s. But I do have friends who grew with their spouses and are still very happy. None of them felt rushed, they just wanted to get married because it felt right.

Not married, no kids, at 35. My mom died when I was 32. I’ve spent this time grieving. And now spending this time getting to know my new self. I couldn’t imagine doing this with kids where I had to be present for ANYONE but myself. A crazy, painful, sad, new era. But I’m living how I want/need to. 💚
