I'm old poor. BUT.... my parents were addicts. so like responsible spending was an after thought. we utilized food banks but often just went hungry. so it is challenging now to be responsible with money

Boyfriend asked what I wanted for Valentine’s Day this year. I said a little deep freeze. He looked at me crazy. But now that it’s full of marked down meat and clearance stuff he understands. 😂

i just got my second hand me down fridge. the freezer works. it doesn't leak. i can't wait to get a new one day but for right now i have food that'll last!!

My heart jumps for joy every time I am able to get groceries that fill my stomach. I grew up in a very not good situation where I couldn’t have access to safe foods. I’m glad I can be here and just be so happy about having food🖤

Haven’t bought bread or tortillas since coming across your videos! I grew up poor but was soon adopted by a family that gave us everything we needed & more so I forgot some of the things I used to do to make food stretch! Thanks for the reminder friend. ❤️

got a great deal on beef bones today so im about to can 4 gallons worth of beef stock for the winter. plus I need to clear all the veggie scraps out of my freezer and left over veggies from a relish tray out of my fridge. win win

red beans and rice for at least 3 meals this week. Going to see what is in the deep freeze for the rest of the week. Hopefully we have some venison left that the neighbor gave us. Been old poor all my life
