@cluelessbushcraft: Replying to @centralvalleypickerHomesteading is not limited to a location. It's a way of life. #homestead #selfreliance @Michael Robinson @Nate Petroski
💯 There is no rule that you must have a certain amount of land or be in the middle of nowhere to homestead.

People are gonna hate either way. You and other creators are the reason why my wife and I want to homestead. Keep it up!

I don’t think I could homestead at my house in the subarbs… Even if I get solar and batteries, I’m required to be hooked to the grid. I am also not allowed to have a well, and am super limited on the amount of rain water I could collect. I also can’t raise any animals for meat, only pets are allowed.

Respect, the meat industry does not care about their impact or the quality of life of their animals. It falls on us

Being honest no hate or anything. Does it ever get tiring having to do everything yourself? I’ve never had to butcher or raise my own things or care after that many animals for food. I just wonder some days do you ever regret it?

I think you caring and processing the animals is great. I just know I would fall in love with them so couldn’t eat them

I love this. I lived off grid on a cascade. It was tough. Now I’m moving to the twin cities and look forward to getting my own place and becoming self sufficient. I feel more valid moving to the city by myself then continuing the off grid life with a partner who didn’t want me there. It’s not a contest. lol

as a homesteader, I agree with this message. their is no minimum size. I call the small landers microsteaders. its even harder.

Those animals you harvest live far better lives that those that are butchered in factories. Love your vids!

The smaller the space the more creative one becomes about how to make the most with what one has. which I think is a great example of homesteading. I have 1/3ish acre (large town sized back yard 🤣) and I have laying hens, quail, rabbits and a garden currently with constantly growing plans to make it better (yield higher production) and am able to off set my reliance on stores.

I'm a suburban homesteader. I garden and raise meat rabbits on my corner lot in a neighborhood, for all the reasons you mentioned.
