I’m forever proud to be bilingual!!! Most people in other country’s can speak multiple languages, I’m so grateful to my parents for teaching Spanish as well as English 💖 I will never let someone who only speaks one language tell me otherwise 🥰

I remember speaking Spanish at a school named cellar elementary in weslaco tx. in the 80s. a white teacher sent me to the office and told me not to be speaking Spanish because we were in America. since then I see racism untolerable.

📌 the waitress was Andrea, this happened over a year ago. The waitress spoke Spanish. The family was problematic. The family was rude and Andrea understood everything they said in English in Spanish. Two sides to the story

Took my kids to Galveston this weekend there was a guy doing balloons going towards every table my daughter was ready for our turn. Looked at us and skipped our table. How do I explain this to my daughter she didn’t get a balloon made because we were Hispanic. Skipped our table and another Hispanic table. Texas is starting to get out of hand with this racism. It broke my heart for my daughter. Seeing the other kids with balloons made me more upset than mad. 💔
