I went to the naval Academy. It was awful, especially for people of color. Everyone assumes you’re not supposed to be there. I was on the basketball team so people that the only reason I got it was because of Athletics. I fully recommend ROTC over the academy. Especially if you can get a full scholarship.

Haha, I wouldn’t change my decision to go to USNA, however we did not get a real college experience and ROTC, OCS and USNA gives you the same exact commission. You’re definitely having way more fun than the Mids at Annapolis tho haha

The only benefit they have is the 4 years of the Academy for them is 4 years of active duty service. So essentially they can retire at 38 compared to 42.
