I bought one of the 8inch butcher knives when they were on sale for $10 & was so impressed with it I've bought 15 more of them including a couple of the 3-piece sets to give as gifts.. every one of them has been super sharp right out of the box and very nice. I don't know why this guy feels like he has to lie about them to sell them..of course they're not genuine Damascus steel.. the Damascus-like pattern is etched on the blades. "67 layers of steel folded over"? I highly doubt that too.. some of these knives are so thin there's no WAY they could possibly be 67 layers of steel, & anyone who knows ANYTHING about steel knows that a genuine Damascus steel knife would cost hundreds if not a thousand bucks or more, and it certainly would not have an ABS handle on it. I'm not affiliated nor am I a commissioned seller - they are GREAT KNIVES for the money & they're sharp enough to shave with.. the true facts about them should suffice to sell them - no need to lie about them to sell them
