On Android, I just force mark it found by going to manual entry for the UPC and put in a random letter, then it has me take a pic and marks it found.

I hate this! I always make a joke of “the app is being goofy with the codes” or “app didn’t have coffee yet” and remind them I indeed did get the correct item.

On DoorDash you can just keep scanning it and eventually it will let you say you have the right item.

my biggest pet peeve is when I'm shopping for an order and I scan it. and it says it's the wrong item and it's LITERALLY THE ITEM😒

You can always put the other four digit code instead that it says on the item. I do that because half the time the barcode won’t work if it’s a different brand than what it says on the order.

I’ve tried to scan the correct item and it tells me it’s wrong but the description and pictures are exactly the same (on instacart)

Those automated texts on DoorDash are awful. The other week, I had a customer call me frustrated cuz they got a text that I was having a “hard time finding their address” despite their detailed instructions.. wholetime, I hadn’t even left the store yet 😭

I had an order where the description said “Sage”, but the picture was of mint. I just messaged the customer and confirmed she wanted mint, and the mint scanned. Weird… 😂

I can’t stand those automated messages! I’ve found a way to avoid the one after you scan fresh chicken breast for example. It’s the message like “this is what I got is this okay?” It’s so dumb bc it’s literally the right thing so I just force close the app after I scan the item & then reopen and it won’t send the message 😂

some stores will have 1 UPC that links to multiple UPC's. if a UPC comes up like that it states that it's the wrong item but it's 100 percent correct, all you have to do is scan it a couple more times until you get the option to pick I have the correct item. also out here in so cal, stater bros use their own barcodes on certain products that they put together and for that all I do is put the barcode manually and type anything and it tells me to take a picture and I move on

It does that with strawberries too. Had an employee show me a 4 digit code to type in and it accepted that.
