We knew of someone doing this, reported it to utility company, they told us to call the police. The police had the utility company disconnect it and nothing happened to them. That’s California.

My neighbor was stealing my electricity for three months and the police did nothing because the guy said he didn’t do it, even though the cops saw the electric cord plugged into the back of my house going into his garage. The officer cut the cord, a few days later I found the other half of the cord tied into a noose and hung over my fence. The cops still didn’t do anything. It was summer and I thought the monthly bill was higher because of that. I told my kids that we had to keep the temperature on 80° and no extra lights were to be on. It’s gets extremely hot where I live. Up to 115° in the summer.
