I’ll never forget in the X Men movie when Charles told magneto, “their just following orders” well talking about the ships. That was probably the WORST word choice he could’ve said😭😭

Okay, I'm gonna stop you right there because Charles Xavier lost his mother and his father at a very young age and then afterwards was abused by his stepfather and beaten by his stepbrother. But despite all of that he still wanted to be a good person. And Magneto, Magneto is a diva who makes everybody's problems about him and Charles has been trying to get him to calm down for years. So much so it makes people wonder if they're married.

Charles is respectability politics the character. At its simplest his ideology is “if we’re good mutants and we protect the humans they’ll like us” and at its worse his ideology is “you have to be martyrs for the humans for mutants to gain some respect.” I don’t get how he literally always stands ten toes down on it even when his students and his kids literally die right in front of him for it

Eric and Charles are right, but they are also both wrong. there is no good people, there is just bad people and worse people. Charles' dream will only work in a world with a restart. but magneto's, his goal will be the restart.

what's interesting with Magneto is he has spent more time sided with heroes than villains in terms of publication history but people still view him as one of Marvel's best villains. read X Men Red people!
