Even with the fact that the so called “next mare” is already getting talked about publicly like, did no one learn from this???? It’s been two days 😭🙏🏻 as a mod user myself, it REALLY ain’t that needed to find a replacement, especially this quickly. People really dont know how to use their brain sometimes and it shows 💔

100% And the fact that some people are actively rooting for the people who are "trying to recreate Mare", when both the Penumbra and Mare devs have said, if they are trying to remake it, they're doing it for very suspicious reasons. smh

Thank you, Cy! Square Enix turned a blind eye towards mods as long as it wasn’t mentioned or had a direct path to be able to report it and close it down. They have actually been super generous for a long time ignoring majority of mods.

Square Enix literally put a “don’t ask don’t tell” rule on people because they ALWAYS turned a blind eye to that kinda stuff so long as you weren’t publicly talking about it, and now the people that talked about it (and most likely forced their hand to take action against Mare) have the audacity to act like Square Enix are in the wrong and weren’t just, Idunno, doing their jobs. Baffles me every time I see people mad posting about it being taken down.

Like I get it I'm also sad that mare is gone but at the end of the day it was a third party modification that violated square's terms of service 😭 Review/forum bombing is literally showing them you also violated their terms

To negate the fact that people engage with content for different reasons is a little bit on the side of folly. A lot of people use games as a means of escapism, for which.. *gestures broadly*… I can’t fault them. Trying to rile people up over it is unproductive at best and needlessly hurtful at worst.
