On a plus at least they got him in. When we are full in the ED we have beds in the hall. They could have at least had him in a bed instead of a chair in the hallway🙁

Literally 90% of what we s needed in an ER can be done in the hallway.

We don’t even have the partitions! But what we do have is 50-70 patients checked in to a 21 bed ER and lots of people complaining no matter how hard we work. :)

My hospital had an “IV lounge” where we had pts get their IV fluids while the work up was back, it was just a hallway with 5 chairs next to eachother 😭

oh the ER near me has those permanently installed in at least two hallways 😫 it does tend to be a sign you're in less danger and also will be seen more rapidly, at least near me?

20 years ago when triage was full in the height of summer sometimes one doc would go out and start ordering tests for the people waiting that were low acuity and have them seen in the hall. Has nobody watched old ER episodes here? 😂
