The reason behind the same melody is because ody had earwax in. The sirens got ody's memories mixed up and mixed up zeus' melody with penelopes! (i know this one!!!)

Yes! If I remember I believe it’s because the sirens don’t have a full grasp on Ody’s thoughts and memories so they grasped onto that part. Idk if she fully saw it or just in pieces since her song didn’t get to him

I have been summoned: Anyway, the “he” that Zeus is referring to could either be the infant (canon) or it could be Poseidon (head canon). Especially during the part where Zeus sings “a mission to k!ll someone’s son” could either refer to Astyanax or Polyphemus. A prophecy if you will…same melody is used during the verses in “Survive”

The sirens couldn’t properly read Ody’s thoughts because of the Beeswax so they were getting Poseidon and Zeus mixed up, even with Ody asking straightforward questions. It’s why they say daughter instead of son, too!
