How do we change this? SA is the one state that puts a legislated (?) limit in school exclusions. Exclusions are not suspensions which have rules about limitations. They also have to report them. But exclusions are allowed unlimited (except SA) without reporting. Also, most of the children suspended are neurodivergent so it goes without saying that excluded children are ND. Yet NDIS funding is being redirected towards schools supporting these children. My child when aged 5-6 was excluded for 180 days. She was an NDIS participant. They argued they had no training yet that was their requirement not on my child. How do we change this so schools are bound by exclusion limitations?
