They tried to run Clinton and Harris as candidates and keyboard leftists 💩 on them. They successfully ran Biden against trump ( he appealed more to moderate and conservative voters). As of right now Newsom is a viable candidate against trump. He appeals to multiple demographics. I think the DNC has finally realized it's pointless to try for the leftist vote. We're to fragmented. He'll, some keyboard leftists have turned on Mamdani.

The reality is that the majority of the Democratic base has consistently supported progressive initiatives by strong margins for years: Medicare for All (70% support in 2018), BDS, climate, ending the filibuster, etc. across the board. The Democratic party has been about managing and placating the base; they don't represent us and don't intend to change other than to keep dragging us right.
