I will for ever yearn to witness the beauty of native Americs, before it was colonised and ripped apart for resources.

Most of the forests on the east coast were managed and cultivated by natives. There’s accounts of english explorers proclaiming that god had made a garden for them because some forests had been cleared and organized to allow for long sight lines so you could hunt easier, all without knowing that people had spent several thousand years making that forest into a garden.

Hey so this is very misleading. There’s still quite a lot of forest cover in the US, it’s just that most of it is new growth as opposed to old growth. A lot of reforesting has actually been done by humans.

There’s more trees than ever today. It’s a trade off, but evolution is a hungry thing. There are still places to go if you want to taste this experience.

Why is it America that always gets hate from this and not places in Europe, Asia and all that even though they have done the same thing?

It may be often said, but it's not true. Much of that area was grasslands.

No, it was more than that. South Louisiana had wetland cypress tree forests wider than cars. All gone. Not a single tree was left uncut.

The amount of trees doesn’t even matter to me today. it’s the loss of mature forest/intact ecosystems.
