I love nana but when it came to Hachi she had a plan. She got attached to her and wanted her to herself. In the anime and manga she does tell nobu that she likes that Hachi is with him so she can have “Hachi play in her yard” she likes control and when there’s change she becomes avoidant hence she was MIA after rens car crash. Almost like takumi where they’re both well written.

Nana o is the most immature character out of everyone. She’s not too different than Takumi the difference is she acts on emotion and Takumi acts on logic. Both her and Takumi infiltrated Nobou and Hachis relationship. Except nana o had the most selfish reasons.

Very few nana fans truly understand how complex all of the characters are. All of them do horrible things, they’re calculated and well thought through when they do things, ai yazawa is truly an AMAZING writer and she captures such a human feel to all of her characters. You have to look past their wrongs to understand them. Nana is so layered and deep it takes the right kind of person to understand each move and decision the characters made.
