this is genuinely fascinating to me bc i did in fact always assume hard as nails meant it was to make nails stronger so i did put it on my bare nails so i’ve never had issues. that’s crazy!

this is sorta how I make all manicures last a while 😅 I slap another coat of color or the top coat on every 4 days or so, to prevent chipping from starting. Now I want to pull out all my older sally hansen hard as nails to see if they have those instructions like yours

hard as nails base/top coat keeps my nails soo strong! I always use it between manis to maintain/strengthen. never knew about applying multiple days though!

This is very odd; I don’t think I’ve heard of one real consumer using the “Polish” (or nail treatment) that way ever in my life. I was plugged into the nail world when those older bottles were being sold (and I am now, but I’m more into indies).

I just used that color! I throw on a Seche Vite top coat and in 5-10 min I can claw around like a mole again no problem lol

I have never done the extra coats, but I do follow the base coat-2 color coats-top coat formula with this polish since I started using it as a kid in the 90s. It’s never failed me.
