Charley is coming at this from a different generation,a different upbringing…if you’re younger,on 5 dating apps,chasing 3 women a week,of course you don’t want to pay $300 for dinner,coz it’s virtually a blind date…someone of Charley’s generation is more likely to meet someone at work or thru a mutual friend,and therefore might already know a bit about her,:-similar interests,same circle of friends etc…he’s not going in cold,and won’t mind paying…it seems dating apps are a scam and taking advantage of people…there are approximately 4.14 billion males on Earth,so don’t tell me you can’t find one…one…that’s all you need…

First date is a coffee date to see if there is compatibility/ chemistry. Some women want to go to a restaurant on a first date. If there is no sexual attraction/chemistry, that is a waste of say, $200. Better for 3rd or 4th date.
