I just started watching BTAS for the first time bc they’re all on HBOMAX, I was so caught off guard with the random animation styles. Also it’s weird bc not everyone got an update? Catwomans look especially, didn’t really fit the show. I will say Scarecrow got the BEST updated design.

the reason for the redesign is because the animation studios overseas that they outsourced some of the episodes to were VERY off model ALL of the time and this design kept them on model

The only redeeming quality about this design is when Joker is hiding in the shadows and you see his beady eyes. It's so cool and creepy.

Black eyes are horrible. The redesigns felt like they were making characters goth looking. Everybody got pale and black
