This post is for ERIC WENTWORTH Dean of Students at the Otselic Valley Central School District, the school board, the parents of the students at the school, as well as to the students. Why do we as parents believe, apparently in vain, that when we send out children off to school, that they are safe. Safe from bullying, safe from being harassed, and most importantly safe from being groomed, sexually harassed, and to to undress in front of adult faculty members of the opposite sex. When did exposing our children, the most vulnerable of our society, to perverts and pedaphiles become so common place that all it takes is sending them to school. This situation started over a vape that was allegedly seen on a bus earlier in the week, that allegedly my 16 year old daughter was using. Fast forward to today when my daughter and another female student are called into the office by this “Dean” as well as the school principal Shelly Richard’s. It was at this point that they decided to search her with a hand held metal detector. After it becoming extremely obvious that the only metal on the child is a belt buckle, bracelets, and exposed necklaces in plain view, it was decided that this teenage girl would be forced to expose her chest by lifting up her hoodie so the Dean and Principal could examine her bra for any outlines that look like that don’t belong there. Thank God her pants pockets didn’t make the metal detector go off because nobody knows just how far these two adults would go, how many more layers of clothing a minor, would be forced to remove, all in the attempt to get someone in more trouble over a vape that was clearly not in her possession. ***UPDATE*** Because the pervert and his colleagues denied it happening, that is where Chenango County Sheriff’s Deputy Cossta and Trooper Warltz (or however it is spelled) of Troop C Zone 1 of the New York State Police are stopping their investigation. So apparently according to the sheriff’s and troopers as long as the members of the Social Elite known as school officials say they are innocent they can do no wrong. (Because no one would ever lie for their coworker)
