my English teacher was also the English teacher of my mother and aunt when they were in highschool. The teacher asked me how was my mom, i told her my mom and aunt, i told her my mom is fine but my aunt passed away. she literally cried because my mom and aunt were the ones always checking on her when she lost her kid. my teacher treated my mom and aunt as her own children.

I was salutatorian in my 5th grade class, graduating elementary school. Mostly a lot of kids hated our teacher but I really didn’t. I was a really gifted kid and she saw that in me and kept pushing me to my potential and I got 2nd in the whole school and did a whole speech + got 2 trophies and more awards at our graduation. I saw her cry since she was one of the teachers she was on the stage at the side with the rest of the teachers. She got me a gift card and everything, hugged me and cried took a bunch of pictures too cause she said she’ll miss me. She told me how she never had a student so determined to work and get to my highest potential like me, i was truly a naturally gifted kid. My brother still goes to that school so on his birthday since his birthday is always on a school day, me and my mom get him things for a school birthday party. The time that we bring in the stuff for the party, she’s picking up her kids from lunch and she always smiles and hugs me when she sees me. She tells my brother how she misses me and wishes she could teach me and only me for the rest of my years in school, she’s so excited to have him when he gets to the 5th grade, she hopes to teach him. I love her so much I have her number but we don’t really text. When I graduated her daughter was valedictorian and also graduating high school, she said both of the graduations was like seeing both of her daughters graduate as smart girls. She was actually the best I want her back, Mrs.Persaud you were my school mother ❤️.

there's this teacher that I'd always talk about movies/pop culture stuff with. Until one day, he shouted at me for talking to another classmate. And I take full accountability of this. Though he really did matter to me. I thought we were "friends", close, you know. But then I think it was far from that, we never got to talk like that again. Sometimes I wonder if he kept our little talks and that if he ever saw me as a student and a "movie buddy". I miss him tho!

i do, I still keep those pictures of classes that I taught in my phone as memory. To be honest I don't think I really like my job, but I especially cherish these moments with my students. I used to not like being a mother, as I don't know and don't like to handle kids. But life got its way with me, I became a teacher, and to my surprise, these students brought out the side of me that I didn't know I have before, these genuine interations, the way they treated and trusted me like a mother figure. This is one of the most significant experiences in my life that make it worth living.

I am devastated because my APLit teacher was brand new my freshman year and we were her very first class she ever taught at my school. Now she’s teaching us again as seniors and I know she’s gonna be crying at graduation knowing we won’t be coming back next year. She refers to us as “her babies.” Which yea can be cringe but it’s kind of bittersweet to think about
