There is nothing islamical about the wife attitude. In this circumstance, if the wife works, she is mandated to contribute to the family the only exception is if she’s a full house wife. It’s normal for husbands to help the wife.

Religion is bogus to start with and it is often subject to interpretation. I have spoken to Muslims in the UK; some born here and others coming as immigrants; they rarely complain about finances or sharing of bills. One came from Dubai where he was learning dollars tax free and now his wife is a nurse and he is courier, she helps out without question.
