I was wondering about taking larger pups out for socialization before full vaccination. It was easy w/ my doxie cuz she could be carried. I’m sweating over my future rough collie. ☠️

I saw your comment on choosing safe areas, but how did you choose where to stop while traveling across the country and not knowing much about the areas? We are driving from KY to FL to bring our 9.5 week old puppy home and I’m not sure where to stop. We have an EV so we normally have to stop at higher traffic areas. 😩

Puppies feet not even touching the ground until four months is absolutely insane. So I’m saying I agree with you. Not to mention, ethical breeders will typically have them outside a handful of times before they even have shots. Granted it’s in areas that they know don’t have parvo or have not had issues with parvo in the past

People are shocked at the ways I raise my puppies; socialization in public before 12 weeks, allowed to jump for reward, and I barely do any obedience until around 4 months

Agree with every single one of these! I got up every 4 hours until they were 8 months to take them out to pee & then back in the crate. I still keep mine in crates at night.
