Great capture of a future we definitely face. There are still some very significant hurdles around copyright and protection of information. If you are company uses AI for a company business, but the data that is shared with AI is not kept private. Nobody will want to use it. Secondly, how much trust will there be in protection of the information? What databases have not been hacked and information stolen? Do you have faith that OpenAI will protect your corporate interests? Technology advancement, and privacy of either personal corporate information is a devil edge sword. Not to say cannot be overcome, but it’s a huge challenge.

Great observation and content. on the tax angle, the ai development would only be expensed in first year if the company purchases or licenses the ai tool used. if it's internally developed using ai, it gets capitalized over 5 or 15 years depending on where the servers/operations are done. but there is no doubt that ai development will displace humans rapidly

Incredible post. The significant that changed my view was the Covid impact on supply chain. Was this a once in a century event or should we adjust our economic philosophy?

i would guess that both a super agi as well as governments and megacorps would use people and their cell phones as assets, so there must persist a harmonious relationship that fosters that relationship.

The transition to ai/robotics in production will continue but the impact on labor will be slow because of cultural resistance. The original impact of the web was a similar disruptive change.

The globalism seems to be an awareness of how to classify exploitation. That’s what you are talking about. Here we are. Back then you couldn’t exploit the earth’s resources without labour and unawareness. Here in 2025 we see the affects daily, minute by minute, of the exploitation of our earth and labour. Capital is just a barter mechanism. So we deregulate and ignore poverty-ism.

Logistics will play a major role as well and a new trading strategy as the struggles for food and energy intensify. Might go back to the times of prohibition except for food and energy this time.

The productivity gains with AI will be enjoyed by the few vs the many. In previous times huge inventions that increased productivity had their growing pains, but eventually created broader wealth for the consumer base. I personally think that we are reaching a tech plateau as it relates to capitalism as it doesn’t matter what you’re selling if you dont have a buyer. If this model plays out to benefit small groups, relative to general labor market, it may actually cause deflation over the long term as consumer spending power continues the downward trend. Consumer spending power is the goal of any economy ‘ism’ that the people actually ideologically embrace. The direction we’re headed in doesn’t seem to factor in wide distribution of productivity gains, so potentially state driven . The new ‘ism’ may be a tech-feudalism. Back to the farm. Working within the crop optimization standards developed by our tech overlords. Hunger Games.

AI and robotics will roll across the world like a rushing fire. I think about this frequently and I don’t see how people are going to support themselves. The only valuable skill, outside of the arts, will be programming and I see a world where everyone everywhere will be coding, testing, auditing, and deploying code.

AI runs the factories, servers hoard the gold. The question isn’t who rules the machines—it’s who leads us into meaning. Leaders, stories, future architects > rulers. 🍐🔥 You and @Dr Craig Chalquist inspired assisted by ai and me.

We need a political system that supports labor so that people can (and should) be replaced by robotics and AI, but the corporations (means of production) using them should be taxed (capital) as a way to support a more leaisured life.
