I don’t think this is the case! Most Muslim families are very close to each other and parents are heavily involved in their lives. Most kids are involved in extra curriculars…have active social lives…connected to their parents. The average Muslim family is like the ideal non Muslim family. The only big issue is that in some families the men don’t control their anger. I am a Sunday school teacher and have of the kindergartens in my class complain about their fathers screaming and shouting at their moms. This is a BIG problem in our communities and it takes a toll on kids.

In our family, we prioritise family, studying both academics and Islam. Visit paternal and maternal grandparents 2-4 times a week for at least 4 hours. Children are taught importance of family and Islam. Respecting adults and being good humans and Muslims.

Eating in front of the TV and not at the table is destructive , not using devices at the table .is a rule in my house .. and family outing is crucial ..parent raise children not others ..too many have forgot this .
