BYD has no suppliers, they produce every component of their cars, independent that no other car maker has ever achieved. Even logistics, they have their own massive ships shipping 70,000 cars in a single ship to Brazil. Cars on the ship are so smart they were able to lead themselves and unload themselves without drivers. It is almost like movie just thinking of it

BYD did not make EV cars in 1995. They are just a battery company. BYD copied Tesla much later after seeing its success. Of course BYD subsequently got its government help as well. In short, Tesla was the first company to make EV commercial cars. The rest of the world was skeptical back then.
