My argument is, if you are the victim of abuse, don’t think the abusers use of semantics is sincere, it’s not. If someone is abusing semantics, in that context, it’s okay to realize contextually the sementics are just a harmful tool for them.

I hear your point but I don’t think it’s fair to label what I said as “whataboutism” your original point was quite general, so it came across as ‘if someone does this, 100% of the time they are gaslighting’ when sometimes it just isnt that. You can’t make a generalisation and then not expect people to tell you that your point doesn’t stand in some cases.
