My 13yr old daughters insurance decided they can just do a switcheroo on the insulin she's been on since her diagnosis at age 6...luckily she has amazing doctors who speak up for her and her needs

Love how insurance companies think that they are doctors and they get to make these decisions while collecting millions of dollars somebody should notify them that they are not the doctor and they shouldn’t get to make the medical decisions

Girl, every 4 to 6 months I have to fight with my insurance to get my diabetic supplies because they keep trying to tell me that I have to use this kind of insulin when the insulin cannot go in my Omnipod then all of a sudden where I’ve been getting my Dexcom the company is out of networkI’m trying to figure out when they got the MD behind their names.

My endo had upped my prescription while I was pregnant and they just left it. So I get about 15 vails for 3 months. And I’m prescribed to do site changes every 2 days so I have a lot of supplies. I get the struggle cuz it was tough before I got married. 😭

I had a plan a couple years ago…they had their Staff Nurse calling me weekly telling me I “just need to take the diabetes pills..not insulin” I kept telling her I have been a T1D since 1974 & she just could not accept that. I have always had to pay out of pocket for all of my insulin and diabetic supplies.

I’m allergic to Humalog, Novolog and Levemir! I’m never going to lose my allergy but we have to do prior approvals for the long acting and short acting insulins I can take.

I don’t get it! Everyone is focusing on the expense of having an autistic child but what about the expense and hardships of a type 1 diabetic? No financial help at all.

Can't get my son's novo echo pen because it's "surgical equipment" and not covered but the INSULIN CARTRIDGES that go INTO the pen are covered. Make it make sense 😒

My insurance did that samething to me. I argued with them that they are not doctors and if I don’t have it my parents are going to own the insurance company

My physical therapist said every 6 months they have to fight her insurance who wants proof her husband who is T1 still has diabetes. I said as a T2 I can be controlled and possible remission but that is not possible with T1. I hate this for them and you. (My insurance wants us to have my son reevaluated for autism every 3 years. Not to see if he has improved in functioning but to ensure he still has autism. Autism is always going to be there for him but functioning level can change.)

This past year has been the worst with trying to get my prescriptions approved, even though I’ve been on the same medications for 17 years with my diabetes, CVS will call me to tell me my prescription is ready for pick up, but when I go to pick it up, they tell me they can’t give it to me until my insurance approves it and I’m like my disease hasn’t changed. It’s not curable. And I need it it’s not like I can go 24 hours without it and I’m not going to a hospital just so I can get insulin that’s stupid but that’s what they tell me to do then I’m like you guys should be out of business. Someone needs to go out of business someone is not doing their job correctly

My insurance has changed my insulin 3 times already this year because they know what works best for me… and also gave me pens for my pump. On top of that it’s $150 for an 8 day supply AFTER insurance. But by god if I need any opioid it’s FREE! No pre authorization for the opioids either 🤣🤣🤣

My insurance made me have my c-peptides tested every single year to prove I was still type one diabetic. Still had to fight to have my pump supplies and insulin covered.
