these actually work very well. I fed mine through the fence before screwing it into the bucket and it works well. no leaks and no poo on top of the bucket.

I wish I could do something like this for my ducks but they need the water to eat and swallow their food so it will get dirty regardless 😕

I recommend only using 2-3 cups per bucket, the more you use, the better chance of one leaking, or breaking. I have better luck that way.

I use them too, also keep it on a cinder block and it doesn’t get cold enough here to freeze the whole bucket, just top layer, so I knock out the frozen cubes in bowls and it refills with water 🤷🏼♀️🫶
