I had a planned but unexpected c-section and I was so defeated and sad about it. BUT I had a successful VBAC afterwards and I felt very vindicated. My VBAC was also my best birth ever. I loved it.

As a two time emergency c-section mamma I am SO proud of you! Gods plan works in strange ways. Thankful you and Sunday are healthy and doing well. Give yourself grace as you navigate recovery and being a new mom. I have no doubt you and Sage are going to kill it!

Don’t minimize your experience! Laboring and having a c section is HARD. It’s sad and scary and you’re navigating it all on the fly. Give yourself the space to grieve, or feel whatever emotions you need to because it’s okay to have those feelings!

i had an epidural instead of spinal tap and i asked them over and over again to please switch to a spinal tap instead and they said it would be okay and i could feel them stitching me up during the end of my c section

The expectation after birth and it going your way and being a little heart broken I feel so much. My son was jaundice and I wasn’t allowed to hold him a bunch he needed to be in this bed with lights. It was rough I wanted my family to meet him an hold him and it just wasn’t an option. But I’m so happy you both are healthy and healing 💗

Just wanted to let you know that it’s ok to feel traumatized even though people have gone through worse! Birth is wild but there is so much info out there glamorizing it. You did great!

I had a very similar birth story except they couldn’t get me numb so I had to be put under, so I missed my son being born and he was born not breathing because the anesthesia go to him really fast. After 6 minutes he was breathing on his own but my poor husband had to do that all by himself and I wasn’t sure how to feel that I didn’t get to witness my baby’s birth since I was really looking forward to it. :/
