Im all on Byler but Mike’s scene was more like he was frustrated with El after she left ‘cause they fought with Lucas. Also it could be related to Will as El was helping them finding him. Probably the script explains this scene better.

There's also Mike and Dustin talking in season one when they were riding their bikes, and Dustin said he understood Lucas, that Lucas was Mike's best friend, and then suddenly Eleven arrived and all Mike did was pay attention to her. It reminded me in a way of Will in season three feeling left out for similar reasons, but I know they're different things. I've never seen anyone talk about it, so I think it's most likely just in my head. (And I'd never noticed that parallel in your video.)
