The Hungarian Pastry Shop is one of those rare spots where poets, professors, and neighborhood regulars have lingered for decades. Old-world charm, walls lined with books and art, the smell of espresso and sugar in the air. We shared a few things, our favorites being the cheese puff and viennese coffee. We also got a peach danish, cherry strudel, and russian coffee. The kind of place where conversation flows slow, you notice the details, and it feels like New York in its most classic form.
