Ghostbuster, Star Wars, Marvel… it’s not a gender issue it’s a QUALITY issue. Men will absolutely watch female protagonists in film, if they are great. Kill Bill? Alien?

to add, the majority of women audience aren’t even interested in superhero, action, or war genres. To make it worse, they really emphasized female leads at the same time focusing heavily on quantity products, over quality.

To allude that now young men/boys don’t have movies made for them doesn’t make sense when we are still using the phrase “female lead trope.” This conversation sound more like “we don’t like women to lead films, bring men back.”
