The only thing that's junk is the exhaust manifolds not the engine. As soon as you replace the manifolds, no tick.

I bought this and tried it and it helped but the magic was a oil change to ROTELLA 15w40 synthetic diesel

My 2014 was ticking bad and it was the lifters. Had them replaced and the ticking is gone.

It's actually due to low oil pressure while long term idling causing cam wear....

the tick is your lifter(s) eating your camshaft lobes. all your doing is making your lifters chew with their mouth closed. Just fix your stuff. add that stuff after you replace your camshaft and lifters (preventative maintenance) or fafo like this

Took away that annoying chevy engine tick. 1 oz per quart of oil. Buy it by the gallon. Worth it. Added to my rider mower. Big difference too.
