I’ve felt like I haven’t been able to breathe all day long. The way you explain breathing in like smelling a flower and blowing out like blowing out a candle seriously makes your brain think about those actions while doing it idk. That worked. Thank you.

one that works for me is to thank my anxiety for trying to look after me by warning me that there might be a threat and then to reassure it that we're going to be ok and we can deal with that threat.

I learned when I’m Catastrophizing instead of worst case scenario, think of the best case scenario. What could go right? It really helps. These are great tips! I love the ice cube one!

Ms Rachel taught my babies to smell the roses then blow out the candle. The (almost scary) amount of peace this brought to my home when kids are over stimulated, I am struggling to keep up etc was truly amazing. Another is a breathing board- the kids literally trace the board with their fingers, breathing in (while finger goes up), let it out (finger goes down). My kids now ASK for the breathing board or if I can give them flowers and candles (not actual, just my hand!!!!)

I do the 4 breaths with my kiddo after seeing it on the episode of Daniel Tiger managing anger, it works for both of us. We sit and I start by showing my hand flat in the air above my head as I breathe in and I lower it as I breathe out every breath to show my anger/frustration subsiding. It's been a great help for both of us in the hard times 💕
