@cockpitking: Boeing vs Airbus — feel the flight or filter it? Boeing’s trim wheels and yokes give pilots raw tactile feedback, every movement felt. Airbus’s sidesticks? Digital precision, filtered through fly-by-wire. One puts you in touch with the air — the other with the software. Which do you trust at 35,000 feet? #avgeek #planespotting #Boeing #airbus #aviation
Reality: Boeing simply does not have the technology or the know how to do what Airbus does. Airbus are safer —> that is a FACT

Why?!? Because boeing is analog device in the digital world.

Yeah... remember Boeing's MCAS? Where pilots didn't know what the aircraft was doing and ended up in crashes.

I heard it said once that “engineers fly Airbus, but pilots fly Boeing.”

Airbus: Removes the pilot from the system because it doesn't trust him/her.
Result: You land on top of an aircraft on the runway because the HUD you were monitoring on the A350 didn't tell you about it.
Boeing: Trusts the pilot to make the decisions on behalf of the aircraft and the system warns you when situations get risky.
MCAS was a failure because it tried to introduce Airbus-like systems to an aircraft that is not known to work that way (i.e. it removed control and feel).

clearly its working for them with their phenomenal safety record 🤣🤣... I'd rather a plane where the doors don't fall off.

No, actually it’s the age of the plane, even though they have revisions of the same plane they can’t change the basic design of it from when it was originally certified because that would cost a lot of money when Boeing builds new planes they don’t have to put that stuff in. All of them use yo shakers or stick shakers to let the pilots know they’re getting slow and about to install the aircraft.

all Boeing have artificial feel since tbey are hydraulic assist. the feel is there to make the pilot feel better about himself
