I’m a cyclist. So I’m saying this from that perspective. Never go so fast you can’t react in time. That could have easily been another person they hit rather than a barrier. Completely the cyclists fault. Hope they are ok, and learnt to slow down

Been watching compilations of that gate for years! There’s another angle on YouTube there is plenty of space to see the barrier also it’s on a slight incline which also increases visibility
