UPDATE: RESCUED 🩶 Daisy is scheduled for euthanasia in just a few days. I know this video really zoomed in on the sad aspect of her, but I need you to know that there’s so much more to her. Daisy is extremely overwhelmed in the shelter environment. If you stand in front of her kennel, you’ll likely see one of two things: a dog trying to make herself invisible in the corner, or a dog barking and lunging out of fear. It’s not the “pretty” behavior adopters are drawn to — but it’s also not who she truly is. A really special part about Daisy is the fact that she’s a helper dog in playgroup. Not only does this mean that she’s dog friendly but it also means she helps get other scared dogs out of their shells. She’s a true shelter superhero! Daisy has a lot of quirks, but it doesn’t mean she isn’t worthy of a second chance. Daisy will be euthanized soon if nobody comes for her. Please help me share her. -Daisy A5771539 -3 years old -60 lbs -Currently has URI -Large dogs OK -Adults only REQ: She was taken to the catch pen for the handling assessment after play group. The handler knelt and called to her. She approached the handler with soft body language and began seeking affection. She allowed the handler to pet her head with no reaction. When the handler attempted to check her teeth, she would tum her head away. She allowed the handler to check her ears with no reaction. When the handler would touch her paws, she would pull them away. When the handler touched her tail, she sat down. She displayed no negative or conceing behavior toward the handler, but she can be head shy and does best with a go-slow approach. She was retured to her kennel without issue. Due to needing a slower approach and some handling sensitivities, she will need an adult only home.
