In before the “I just like the way it feels” crowd come in. Notice that almost all excuses for shaving that women try to use for why shaving is ‘their choice’ are almost never used by men. It’s pure socialisation.

Most men are also really self-conscious and crave the validation of society and especially other men. I’ve met a lot of men that didn’t mind that I don’t shave as long as it we were in an intimate setting but once we went out and other people could see suddenly it was a huge problem. They don’t want to be judged by other men for being with a woman that’s not traditionally feminine.

My sister has dark hairs and doesn’t shave and my dad came to me behind her back and wanted me to convince her to shave her legs because he said: “I don’t like it”. Context: my dad has little to no body hair 😂 they’re so insecureeeee lol

I'm incredibly early... I would have unwarranted comments from other men about my body hair when I would grow it out. Mostly out of comfort and control of my body. Plus, for anyone who is insecure about their body hair, I stopped shaving so others could feel comfortable, and that it is (can be!) normalized.
