I dropped a class the day after the semester started 🙃 she was one of those profs that love to brag "hardly anyone passes my class". I don't respect educators that are blatantly proud that they don't care about our education, that I'm paying them to give me.

YUP. the first time I decided to “power through” and take the class where the prof bragged that she doesn’t give A’s. I did A-level work all semester and she told me so, but still didn’t give the A for the hell of it. Never made that mistake again

I dropped a class when day 1 the professor said no technology, and he was only going to write key words on the board while lecturing. My dyslexicia & adhd could never even with accommodations.

Here’s the other thing: if they’re going over the syllabus and they say, “oh yeah, nobody passes my test…” and then they start ringing their hands. You might want to transfer out of that class.

Every time I wanted to drop a class, it’s usually required, only taught by one person, or a class that’s offered once in a lifetime. I did drop a class one time because I got taken off the waitlist for another one
