AGRICULTURAL BOOST FOR MADAGALI/MICHIKA: A PROMISE FULFILLED Michika, 6 August 2025 In a significant step towards agricultural revitalization, Hon. Nyampa Dauda Zakaria, Member of the Federal House of Representatives for Madagali/Michika, today fulfilled a key campaign promise by distributing agricultural inputs to farmers across all 26 wards of his constituency. This landmark intervention reflects a deliberate strategy to strengthen food security, reduce rural poverty, and promote sustainable economic development in a region where agriculture is the backbone of local livelihoods. Despite the abundance of fertile land in Madagali and Michika Local Government Areas, farmers have long grappled with soaring input costs, limited access to modern tools, and outdated farming practices. Acknowledging these challenges, Hon. Nyampa designed and implemented this initiative as part of a broader vision to empower rural communities. Dignitaries in Attendance The launch event witnessed the presence of several prominent figures, including: Hon. Moses Yerima Zah, Member, Adamawa State House of Assembly (Michika) Hon. Haruna JJ, Member, Adamawa State House of Assembly (Madagali) Dr. Ishaya Dabari, Commissioner for Commerce, Trade & Industry, Adamawa State Hon. Dan Biyu, Chairman, Michika LGA Hon. Amos K. Drambi, former Chairman, Michika LGA Emmanuel Fungus, PDP Chairman, Michika Other distinguished stakeholders and community leaders Hon. Nyampa’s Remarks Addressing the gathering, Hon. Nyampa reaffirmed his commitment to agricultural transformation, stating: > “We are fully aligned with Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s agricultural vision. Governor Fintiri is not only a mentor but also the most people-oriented leader our state has seen. By God’s grace, we will not rest until the people of Madagali and Michika are uplifted.” He also urged youths to embrace productive engagement, avoid social vices, and actively contribute to community development. Hon. Nyampa emphasized continued support for the PDP, highlighting the party’s progress-driven record under Governor Fintiri. The distribution was formally flagged off by Dr. Stephen Maduwa Ubandoma Michika, marking the beginning of what is set to be a sustained series of agricultural support programs.
