I loved Alien Romulus and am right there with you with diving back into Alien with this new show. Love to see sci-fi that really embraces what makes sci-fi such a rich and fun genre and not just “whacky aesthetic for an action movie.”

People are saying they are going to ignore Prometheus and Covenant but I don’t see how that’s possible when Romulus had the pathogen as a core part of the story and the xenomorphs’ connection to it is a vital component of the lore now. I imagine it has something to do with the biomechanical nature of the xenos.

I’ve never liked magical tech manipulation. “She modified the code somehow” is right up there with somehow palpatine returned. It becomes fantasy instead of sci-fi.

But I’ve been loving this expansion of the alien universe, feels new but still familiar in a lot of ways, even the set dressing things that I’m iffy about I’ve come around on after hearing them talk about wanting to show “not just weyland-yutani”

The Xenomorphs parasitic reproduction, aggressive nature, and ability to adapt to various environments suggest that the engineers designed them as a weapon for mass destruction. the acidic blood and seemingly metal teeth suggest that they are bio mechanical

oh im more than happy with more Alien content, I think Its more than being biomechanical mirrors but also I think when saving Wendy they took something from the dead xeno and put it in her head. I think this might lead to her mutating into a live action Xeno-goddess
