Good news! Imam Al Mahdi (pbuh) has sent a messenger named Ahmed Alhasan (pbuh). He is the awaited Yamani who appears before Imam Al Mahdi (pbuh) to gather his supporters and prepares for the appearance. Ahmed is the 1st Mahdi of the 12 Mahdis that come after the 12 Imams mentioned in the final Will of the Prophet Muhammad written on the night of his death. Ahmed Alhasan (pbuh) is alive today calling for support on his mission to establish justice just like his grandfather and predecessor Imam Al Hussain pbuh. Sistani, the major Marja today, called for democratic elections in Iraq in 2005 and this was severely warned against by the Prophet Muhammad 1400 years ago. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) said: "Woe, woe to my nation from the major Shūrā (elections) and the minor Shūrā (elections)." He was asked about them, and he said: "As for the major Shūrā, it will be held in my city after my death to usurp the caliphate of my brother and the right of my daughter. As for the minor Shūrā, it will be held during the Major Occultation in al-Zawra (Baghdad) to alter my Sunnah and change my rulings." Source: Manāqib al-‘Itra / 250 Signs, page 130 The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said about Sistani and Al Mahdi in a long hadith: “…and the emergence of a man from the descendants of al-Husayn ibn ʿAlī, and the appearance of the Dajjāl who will emerge in the East from Sijistān (Sīstān), and the appearance of the Sufyānī…” "Bihār al-Anwār – by Allāmah al-Majlisī – Volume 51 – Page 70" While Imam Ahmed Alhasan pbuh was the only one calling the people to not participate in the elections that Sistani called for.
