Isn't that what PlayStation does? If a user buys a game it doesn’t actually grant permanent ownership of it. Instead, users are paying for the licensing of it which can be terminated at any point..

If I “Purchase” a digital copy of a film which the seller says I now “own”, I should be able to download that copy, save on my personal digital storage device and be able to view it wherever I want in perpetuity, unattached to any platform or payment method, as would be the case when purchasing a physical copy.

With how they are reducing physical media, if I buy a digital copy I expect to own it in perpetuity and to be able to download it wherever I choose WiFi free and streaming free. You can’t take away physical media and then “sell” a digital copy as the only option only to take it away. To do that even with physical media isn’t right.

This is why I refuse to buy digital anything! I'm not wasting my money on something they can take away. I'll save Amazon digital points until I can purchase digital items that way or I buy the physical copy.
