NG1 is atrocious to play. The constant backtracking, was super tedious and an extreme chore to deal with, it made me gave up on NG1. Ur gonna find NG3 or NG2 much more linear, which is much more efficient and enjoyable to play for me. But i can say for certain, that u wont like NG3, its an extreme learning curve, and the story is the most convoluted in gaming history. I have over 300 hours on this game, not proud to say that btw. But if you can get near the peak of the learning curve, the extreme artificial difficulty, the ridiculous enemies/bosses, the game is still a piece of shit to play 😭(oh and without scythe; sigma versions of NG and NG3RE version btw) the replay value is insanely good tho ill admit that.
