No, its not weird at all! I'd rather go alone. However, if it's a movie that you have talked with a friend for months, or with a family member and they are just as stoked as you are and say we should go and see it, you should go with them.

went to see Deadpool and wolverine on my own. The first time I went with my fiancée. second with my fiancée and our friends. then for a third time my fiancée took her little sister to see a kids movie and I didn't wanna sit home alone so I saw Deadpool again by myself
