Barista here 🫶🏼 iced americano with extra ice and no water topped with cream! If only 2 shots you’re wanting a 12 oz if you’re getting a 16 oz you’ll need at least 3 shots 4 is ideal though!

Starbucks order although I’m not a huge fan of Starbucks but it’s the most consistent and it’s the perfect color. Two shots of blonde espresso over ice with a splash (1/4” not 1/2”) of sweet cream or milk and one pump of flavor.

Same. Try ordering either a cold brew or espresso over a full cup of ice and ask to add your old milk to get it just right.

I’ve just figured this out for me bc I was having the same problem! Iced americano with a splash of 1/2-1/2 or cream. Add a pump or two of syrup if you want

You just need to figure out your ideal ratio in ounces and let them know- so a double shot latte with 4 oz of milk, etc!

I always ask them to cut it with water! Sometimes half milk, half water or one third, two third. Or I get an americano with general milk.

I also have trouble with this!! I’ve started ordering iced lattes with extra ice and I feel like that gives them the hint of less milk/stronger taste. But I’m with you, shouldn’t have to pay for an extra shot to get a good latte.

I would just order an 8oz iced latte, and if they don’t have that size, just tell them to only fill it halfway up with milk. A cap, flat white, etc. unfortunately changes in how it’s prepared depending on the shop (it shouldn’t, they’re supposed to be standard sizes, but Starbucks has ruined traditional menus for the third wave shops)

I feel like an iced flat white is a good in between but I know that a lot of coffee shops cannot comprehend that you just mean the milk ratio when you order a traditionally hot drink cold 😭

FYP absolutely HITTING today. Like today I was raging trying to figure out what this is called!!! I’ve made my own drinks at home since 2020 and if I buy the drink, WAY too much milk!!!!! At home I literally just add less milk but don’t know how to order somewhere lol

My Starbucks order for two years now has just been an iced double shot of espresso, in a grande cup, with a splash of whatever milk you like! You can change the size of the “splash” if you’re ordering ahead on the app, and I will sometimes add cold foam if I want it creamier. It’s cheaper than ordering an iced latte and they always do the ratio so much better than a normal latte for my taste!

Extra ice. The entire cup should be filled with ice, I mean all of it. Then pour in the espresso and milk until your cup is full. Guys it’s not rocket science. If you have 3 ingredients (ice, milk, espresso) and you want your espresso to be a constant of 2 shots AND you want less milk, than the only other thing than can change and MUST change to get less milk is for there to be more ice. This is literally 2nd grade thinking. Call the drink whatever you want but this is what you’re asking for. And yes it taste good

hiya! i’m in the uk so it may be a little different but i’ve been a barista for over eight years, let me help! an iced latte is ice, milk, and two shots of espresso. an iced cappuccino would be the same thing as the cappuccino part only comes from the foam which can’t be made iced. most places don’t do iced flat whites as it’s just not really a thing - especially because takeaway iced coffee cups tend to come in standard sizing. what i would maybe recommend is getting an iced americano but asking them to pour the water half way and the rest with help. half the milk, same amount of coffee!
