I think it's straight up insane that mold isn't something they have to take care of. that's a health and safety concern for you and your shoppers and employees. I hate landlords *specifically* business landlords.

sometimes the best course of legal action is to exit quickly before you become on the hook for anything you aren't actually responsible for. I remember from some of your other videos that there's been a back and forth about who's responsible to repair the place. and considering the LAX renter protections you've described in Utah, it is only a matter of time before they get you for the money to fix their property. just based on the bits and pieces I've heard from your content. I feel like I agree with this lawyer for the long run longevity of things

The only rights renters have in Utah is the right to break a lease. It sucks. But the majority of our legislature made their money in real estate.

I used to be in the warehouse across from Publik. Our landlord was doing renovations and tore out the floor and plumbing which was fine. Except they wanted us to pay rent the whole time even though the space wasn’t usable. I’m sorry this happened to you.
