harmony = fair trade & fair tariffs. This has been lopsided for many years against the USA. Therefore these newer tariff agreements are in fact creating harmony.

Tariffs are not ideal but until we reach that ideal society (which I doubt we will) you can use tariffs for corrections

Follow up question you should have asked: if my threat of tariffs/implementation of tariffs results in you lowering/removing your tariffs and then I cancel my tariffs, did the tariffs/threat of tariffs work? Answer: yes.

Some countries do better with certain products than others.. China manipulates their currency. Tariffs are not the issue. Tariffs drive inflation and are a tax on American importers. And they will pass that cost on down the line maybe not 1 for 1 but for sure it’s a massive tax increase that is not progressive it’s a regressive tax.

Why do we just accuse America of using taxes, when every country uses them! Even worse they won't allow American products in their country but demand their products be sold in the US tax free.
