They should focus on making it good at what wastes time for people. Use it to run the numbers and come up with combinations of formulas for vaccines or map the human genome or something. The computation of massive amounts of data to save scientists time while they’re finding the cure for dementia

AI is supposed to assist not replace. A doctor could use AI to run the symptoms and see if there’s any possibilities they might have missed, but they need their medical knowledge and experience to look at that list and say ok not that because XYZ, I’ve already checked that, labs don’t support that, etc. An American doctor could spend more time doing actual medicine because AI is wasting time on hold with the insurance company or doing the rote paperwork that can’t be automated, but doesn’t really need a person either. AI cannot be trusted with private information, so it can never be trusted with healthcare entirely. And that shouldn’t be the aim of those creating it.

AI will replace some jobs but it will also create jobs so maybe you won't get to be a customer success for legal or a paralegal but you get to become a lawyer that's faster at putting documents together for a case AI doesn't think. It has no brain and we are decently far away from anything like that from what I can see
